It seems to be a fairly common issue, as both Google and the local forum search indicate, but the solutions are unique to many devices.

As indicated in short from the title, here is the issue:

After powering on, I get, "Boot Device Not Found. Please install an operating system on your hard disk. Hard Disk (3F0)."

Taking heed to other common practices, I followed instructions, as far as I could or dare, found here and here.

With regards to the first link, I can get as far as Procedure 3 (excepting the, "Legacy support," in Procedure 2 as that doesn't appear anywhere in my BIOS (Rev F.05; I can't upgrade it as will be explained below)). At that point, the highlighted text reads, "Incomplete Optane Volume." If I open that up for further details, it says, "TG 4.0. INTEL HBRPEKNX0202AH TE...[S/N redacted]... 476.9GB." Going further into that, it gives a status of, "Disabled," and the option to, "Reset to non-Optane," which, when selected, becomes an undesirable option (if there's any data I can recover, it would be wiped out).

Ah! So this is a RAID volume! Wait...WHAT?! OK...anyway...

With regards to the second link, I was unable to update the BIOS as the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI doesn't have, "Firmware Management," per the linked article found here. The hardware diagnostics passed. I dare not reinstall Windows as there may be recoverable data on the drive.

I attempted to use Windows Recovery to fix the drive with any startup issues. It went through and fixed numerous errors, although I now wonder if that "fix" didn't take into account the fact this is a device set up in RAID and it might have ruined it.

EDIT: I attempted to use Windows Recovery via an external USB device, so it wasn't the native one (as one would expect, since I can't boot into anything to begin with).

At any rate, I should like to restore this drive without having to reinstall Windows. Is there recovery media that can do this without breaking everything? And what sort of black magic is HP into that creates a RAID array from a single drive? How might all this be fixed?

The link you referred me to is exactly the second link I had in my original post. I'm not sure if that means you generated an automated response or if you simply didn't read it closely, but I gave a rich supply of information to help anyone replying understand that I followed those steps and more to no avail.
