HP ENVY 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Believe i fried my hard Drive few years ago, set the computer aside and bought a new one, recent trying to bring it back to life, had to buy a new harddrive for the other computer because it didnt have enought memory to do windows update, so i took the hard drive from that computer and tried to put it in the old one an still nothing, Says BOOT DEVICE NOT FOUND PLEASE INSTALL AN OPERATING SYSTEM HARD DISK(3F0),  I know this Hard drive works so it should have no problem booting up. What can be going wrong? also the old fried hard drive(presumably) was a mechanical 750G replaced with a working 128G solid state if that plays a factor in this proble.

Have you checked in BIOS to see if the ssd is recognized? Can you set it as first boot device in the boot list? I assume you removed the old drive.

Delayed response sorry just got back from vacation to start tinkering with this thing, and it was indeed the bios, had no idea how to do any of that but after browsing the HP guides I finally figured it out, thank you so much!
