HP Notebook - 15-bw030nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I attempted to reset my laptop, however midway through it froze, so I turned it off and back on.  When I turned it on I was met by a black screen that said Boot Device Not Found, Please install an operating system on your hard disk, Hard Disk (3F0). I then pressed F2 to go system diagnostics and did a hard drive check.  It passed the hard drive check but when I did a memory check, after about 10% through it stopped and said, Memory Quick check: Software Error. How can I fix this?

Hi @YaBoyBryce

Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

I see that you are facing hard drive-related issues on your system. Do not worry, we are here to fix it.

May I know from when are you facing this issue?

Did you make any hardware or software-related changes to it?

Since you have performed most of the troubleshooting steps, I would suggest you follow the steps shared in the link below and let me know the outcome of it: CLICK HERE

You can also perform an HP cloud recovery using the link here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4511095-4511141-16

Sorry for taking so long to respond, I have been pretty busy recently and I haven't been focusing on this issue because of it.

To answer your first question, this problem has been going on for about 2-3 weeks now, and it happens when I turn on the laptop.  I haven't been able to actually get to the desktop.  I haven't made a software or hardware change.

I tried each option from the troubleshooting link you sent.  For the first option, I'm not able to update BIOS because I don't have access to desktop.  For the second option, I pressed F2 and went to the component tests which on my laptop is labeled as system diagnostics, and there were two options; Hard drive check and Memory check.  For the third option, I did the hard drive check and the hard drive passed the check.  For the fourth option, I restored the BIOS settings but after I saved, exited, and restarted the laptop, nothing had changed and I still face the same problem.   For the fifth option, I did the F11 option for system recovery to reinstall windows, however it just took me back to the screen that said Boot Device Not Found, Hard Disk (3F0).  Do you know what else I can do?
