Yes, you can still transfer your data from the broken laptop to your new one, even if the screen is cracked. Here are a few methods, depending on the condition of the old laptop:
1. External Display (if laptop still powers on):
Connect an external monitor or TV using HDMI or VGA.
Power on the old laptop; if it still works, you can access your files and transfer them using:
USB flash drive or external hard drive
Cloud storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.)
Direct transfer over Wi-Fi using file sharing or a transfer cable
2. Remove the Hard Drive (if laptop doesn’t power on or screen is unusable):
Remove the hard drive from the old laptop.
Use a USB-to-SATA adapter or external hard drive enclosure to connect the old drive to your new laptop or a different PC via USB.
Your old drive should show up like an external drive, and you can copy files over.
If the data is critical and you’re uncomfortable opening the laptop, a local computer repair shop can help extract the drive safely, usually for a small fee.
