Hi there, I downloaded Windows 10 from 8.1 last night but ever since have had issues with the cursor constantly being busy (the blue circle flickers on and off rapidly) , and with selected dialogue boxes flickering. I have checked with Task Manager, but cannot find anything that could potentially be causing the issue. Interestingly on one attempt, the TaskBar Launcher icon kept flashing on the task bar. I have attatched a screenshot of a paused Task Manager, as the programs keep rapidly switching, so it's hard to gauge where the issue may be coming from. I have restarted numerous times, and reinstalled AVG a couple of times as I heard that could potentially cause issues. I have also tried to install a new graphics driver, but that has worked to seemingly no success. Furthermore Windows keeps saying that it is perfectly up to date, and troubleshoots no issues.
How do I fix this issue? I cannot figure out what my computer is trying to do/load.
Thanks in advance.

Try this!
It worked for me
Go to your Task Manager
Under your processes there is a background process listed that is running named: Windows Driver Foundation
Right click and hit end task
After I hit 'End Task' the first time I noticed it popped right back up in the window again of the Task Manager. I proceeded to right click and hit 'End Task' about 5 more times after that for some reason lol
After that, it didn't pop up anymore and my pointer stopped the flickering.

You legend! It worked! After stabbing it a few times I finally managed to kill it, and instantly the flickering stopped. I tried a restart; it's only a temporary fix but works each time.
To make it permanent these steps may help!
1. Search 'services.msc' on Windows Taskbar.
2. Select 'Windows Driver Foundation'.
3. Right-click, and select 'Properties'.
4. Under the 'General' tab go to 'Startup Type' and select 'Disabled'.
You'll be able to enable it again anytime if needed, but this make sure that it doesn't try to run every time you start up your PC! I tried a restart and everything worked perfectly.
I was considering refreshing my PC, but it looks to be working now- thanks very much!

I have teh exact same problem, upgraded to windows 10 and am wishing I hadn't.
I don't have the background process (well, I've been through my task manager many times and can't see it) that solved your issue!
It is driving me batty. Can't right click, it automatically closes etc.
Any other possible solutions?
