Product: Compaq CQ42-291tx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hye, I have the Compaq CQ42 unit , i want to reinstall the OS win 7, but the product key sticker is smeared so some of the character can't reconqnize. Is it possible to retrieved it back? Thank you.

Try Belarc Advisor and print out your software licences.

While Belarc Advisor often does work, it only finds the product key in the Registry.

If that does not work, you can try using this tool:
