HP Stream
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I erased the hard drive of my HP Stream, which came with Windows 8.1 Connected. I am trying to purchase the Recovery software so I can reinstall it, however whenever I go through and enter my information, it goes nowhere. Is there anyway I can get the recovery software (besides calling)?

Hi:

What is the full model number or product number of your notebook.

If you don't know, use this guide to find that info...

Hi:

You can order W8.1 recovery media for your model from HP at the link below...

That's the exact link I tried earlier. I plug in my CC information, the page says it's 'Processing, Please Wait...' and it doesn't go anyway. The page eventually times out. Is there another link I can order it from?

None that I know of.

You are going to have to call HP at 1 (866) 724-8600.

There is also a way to make your own W8.1 with Bing installation file, but it is a bit complicated.

See this link below...toward the bottom of the page.

Too bad you didn't upgrade to W10, because it would have been easy to reinstall W10.
