I can’t boot my HP Laptop with windows 10 from a USB or CD. I have been in the bios settings, and they are both to boot before the HD.  Secondly I need to fix a sign- in issue (pin and password don’t work). I’m thinking if I can boot it into a windows install, it may let me repair it. Does anyone know the answers to either problem?

I am now able to boot to DVD thanks! This helps a lot. (The flash drive was the wrong architecture for my laptop and wasn’t recognized).

Not to be a smarta%*...... Are you using a bootable stick loaded with windows recovery ?
Should get you in if the stick and port are working.
Good luck

Yes, but it was created with the wrong architecture for this laptop. Thanks for the reply.
