Just purchased this from someone whose drive had crashed (real cheap). Trying to find a recovery disk. I've already replaced the drive and added some extra memory but can't find a recovery disk. Also, how would i get the Operating System reinstalled. It came with Windows 7 so I guess that is where I would have to start.

Unfortunately, recovery disk will cost you $30.
If it came with Windows 7, there should be a product key located under the battery.
My suggestion is to install Windows 10, then use that Windows 7 product key to activate Windows 10.
I just did this.

Thank you for the response. But I can’t even find a recovery disk to buy. So I’m downloading all the drivers from HP and plan on either loading them on a flash drive or burning to a DVD. But how do I get to the point where I can load them onto the hard drive. Is it one of the “F” keys that will take me where I need to be? Newbie here. Thanks for your help.
