Example: Pavilion 15-ab
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey Everyone. Complete pain in the **** this one.

I have a Pavilion 15-ab laptop that recently started to show signs of HD failure. I thought at this point the simple thing to do would be to just throw in an SSD and do a fresh install of windows. Not so much.

SSD is installed, but no OS. I used the windows media creation tool to make an install disc for windows 10. When I boot to the disc drive, it will prompt me to press any key to boot to CD/DVD.

Then I get the following screen, where it seems to have zoomed in the screen. I can't see what is going on below, it's out of view,

After about 30 seconds I see the spinning dots for about 10 seconds then the computer reboots.  And that's as much as I can do.

I know the disc works because we just used it on a buddy's computer for a clean install.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Annnndd I don't know why the picture isn't working. Works in the posting screen, the preview screen, but not the final posted screen.
