Hi everyone,
I bought a 15s-fq2011np a few years back with Linux, but I never really got used to it. So now I am trying to install Win 11 on it, but I am having trouble.
I got the USB with it to boot, but then I got the message 'Install Driver to Show Hardware'. Therefore, I can't go ahead and install it.
I already tried to go after some drivers, Intel RST drivers, to review boot configs, etc. There are no configs for AHCI in the Bios, nothing. Actually, there are not many configs in the Bios at all (F.09).
Any ideas? Anything pointing in the right direction would be gladly appreciated. Thank you!

Since your notebook came with an Intel i3 11th gen processor, you need to supply Intel RST storage controller driver to the Windows installer so that it can detect the storage drive to install Windows on.
You can follow the steps below to complete the Windows installation.
1. Use a Windows installation usb drive created with Microsoft Media Creation Tool (an ISO file-based installation usb drive tends to cause errors during the IRST driver installation).
2. Download Intel RST driver from the link below. Run it as administrator and follow on screen instructions to perform the driver extraction process.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp146501-147000/sp146929.exe
3. Go to C:\SWSetup\sp146929. Double click the folder and copy the F6 folder to the root directory of a Windows installation usb drive. The F6 folder contains IRST drivers which the installation setup needs to detect the storage drive.
4. Connect the usb drive to the notebook and boot the system from the usb drive. When you are asked where to install Windows, click on Load Driver. Click on Browse and click the usb drive in the window that opens. Click the F6 folder then OK.
5. Multiple drivers will be displayed. Select one of them then click Ok.
6. If you see the storage drive with Linux partition(s), just hit the delete key in the screen. If you see more than one partition, delete all of them the same way to only see "unallocated space" then click Next to proceed the installation.
