I have set BIOS to boot from USB G-Parted, but it is bypassed and boots into Windows instead. Here is the pic of the BIOS setup. I have switched USB ports but tho no avail.

Hi:
See if this works...
Enable Legacy Mode, and disable Secure Boot if you have not done so already.
Plug the USB drive into a USB port.
Turn on or restart the PC.
Tap the ESC key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen to get the menu of options.
Select the F9 boot options menu and from that, select the Legacy USB Diskette on Key/USB hard drive device, and press the Enter key.
Hopefully, the PC will then boot from the USB flash drive.

I found that tapping DEL would boot up G-Parted, but removng tha partition made Windows unbootable. No biggie because now I am installing Win 7 on the laptop instead. It is installing now. I like it better anyway. Count this one solved, in a round-about way.
