Cannot Install Windows 10 to New laptop SSD

Had to replace the ssd in my laptop. When I try to install Win 10 clean, the laptop cannot find the new drive. I know it's related to Intel removing the Zipped RST files from their site but every "fix" I found did not work. Do I just toss the laptop now. Is there any way around this.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The Windows installer needs to see the F6 folder that contains five driver files shown below. 

Download IRST driver from the link below, extract driver files and copy them to the installation usb drive. You can follow the steps below to complete the installation.

1. Connect your Windows installation usb drive to the laptop (for the best results, use an installation media created with Microsoft Media Creation Tool rather than with Rufus with the ISO file).

2. Right-click on the downloaded sp146929 file and click on "Open with administrator" to start the extraction process.

3. When you are asked where to save files, with the default directory path being displayed, click on Next.

4. Go to C:\SWSetup and locate the sp146929 folder that holds extracted files. Double click the folder and copy the F6 folder to the root directory of the Windows installation usb drive.

5. Run the Windows installation from the usb drive, and when you are asked where to install Windows, click on Load Driver.

6. Click on Browse then click the usb drive in the window that opens.

7. Click on the F6 folder and click OK.

8. Two drivers will be displayed. Select either one then click OK.

9. Now the drive will be displayed with partitions if the drive already has Windows installed. Delete all the partitions to see "Drive 0 (or 1) Unallocated space" then click Next to proceed the installation.

Tried it but did not work. I used 7-Zip to extract the files and followed the instructions but got the same results. No drive found. I couldn't see "Open with Administrator" when I right clicked the exe file so I used 7-Zip. If I click "Run as Administrator", it will execute the file which I dont want to do on my machine. Correct?

7-Zip did extract the files and created the F6 folder which I copied to the install usb, but it didn't work.

Clicking on 'Run as administrator' will execute the extraction process so you need to click it (clicking it doesn't install IRST driver to the computer, but it just extracts files).

If you still have a problem, you can use 7-Zip to extract files. See this discussion below for how to extract and copy files to a Windows installation usb drive.

When you see the extracted F6 folder, make sure it contains the five files that are shown in my previous reply then copy the F6 folder to the root directory of the installation usb drive. You can then follow the subsequent steps. Make sure you use installation media created with MS Media Creation Tool.

Thank you for all your help. Your instructions were spot on perfect and the files you sent were exactly what I needed. After the install failed again and again, I took the laptop apart again and went over every component and found what you see below. This is(was) the sata controller cable. Once I replaced it and followed your procedure all went perfectly!
