Cannot recover my HP Pavilion x2 - 10-n103np

Hi,

I cannot recover my HP Pavilion x2 - 10-n103np. I press ESC while booting, then go to F11 for recovery. I try to reset to factory settings and it stops at 62% and then gives an error saying it cannot complete the restore process. I cannot boot into windows, neither in safe mode. Hardware system diagnostics tells me everything is ok. What can I do? Is it possible to create a bootable USB to recover it?

Yes.  Since your machine previously ran Windows 10, you can do a clean install W10 for free by using the media creation tool at the link below.

          https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

The tool will allow you to make a bootable installation media (USB/DVD) and you can use installation media to install.

During the installation process if you are asked to enter a product key, check the 'Skip' box and W10 will install and then automatically activate once you are connected to the internet using the key embedded in BIOS of your machine.

Then you can install the drivers and available software you need from your PC's support page.

Hi! Thank you for your reply. Unfortunatelly I couldn't make it work. I'm on a Mac, and I tried to create a bootable USB using exFAT and FAT without success. It simply doesn't boot. Do I really need a Windows PC to create the bootable USB?
