Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to assist.

I understand that you have an HP Pavilion 15-au100 series laptop. I read that you would like to play games like the Battlefield 4 and FIFA 17. I read that if playing these games will affect the battery life.

You should be able to play these games fine. Secondly, playing games does not affect the battery life. However, the battery might drain a little faster because of the high graphics and constantly working graphics card and CPU. These things need little extra power.

Therefore if you plan to do gaming for quite a while, then suggest you to have the charger plugged in. Yoi may have the laptop work at its best performance mode by performing the following steps:

  • Go to Start Menu > click on Settings.

  • Type performance > choose Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.

  • In the new window, go to the Visual Effects and select Adjust for best performance.

  • Click Apply and ok...this should do the trick.

If you happen to reply then Please let me know the exact laptop model no. This link will help you to find the model no: http://hp.care/2bygf7l

Hope this information helps. Cheers! 🙂
