HP Notebook - 15-f272wm (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I tried to update the BIOS through the HP Support  Assistant, and it's telling me it can't because the BIOS are blocked. I'm not much of a computer person, so i have no idea what this means or how bad it could damage my computer. ANY help would be massively appreciated. The BIOS running now are the Insyde F.27, the BOIS showing up for download/update i the HP Assistant is the F.38.... help?

I have seen a couple people having probem with latest BIOS. If it won't install- no harm has been done on your part to cause it.

You might try downloading the BIOS manually and Save it. Once download is complete close all open browser windows and any programs. Disable temporarily any Anti-Virus program you have installed. Plug in your power cord and right click the download, choose Run as administrator. If you get any prompts asking to overwrite files click yes.
