Hello,
Til yesterday the laptop Omen 17-w104nm worked superb, however now it won't boot up. The caps lock LED is blinking white and blinks first 3 times, a second pause, then 2 rapid blinks. I have tried the following suggested solutions: power off, wait for a minute, hold the power button for 15 seconds, plug power cord back, power up, as well as power up and press shortcuts for bios recovery. None worked. I have called the hp authorized service providers who have told me they don't do services for Omen series. The next closest authorized service provider is 350 km away so if this is possible to solve without me going on a trip, I'd be delighted. As a student in the middle of exams, who needs laptop for said exams, taking a trip is not the ideal option. However, if it must be done, I'll figure something out.
Thanks in advance for help.

Hi,
3.2 blink codes usually indicates a problem with the memory. So you could try reseating the memory modules (take out and put back in again. I believe you have 2 modules in the notebook. So, if reseating does not work, try one module at a time (and one slot at a time) to figure out is one of the modules or slots has a problem.
On page 43 of the service manual, you can see the steps to remove and place the RAM back again

From HP support page
Hope it helps,

With each RAM module and with each slot you keep on getting the 3.2 blink code?
You could try removing the ac adapter (and since you know how to open the PC), disconnect the battery and try holding power button for 40 seconds. Reconnect battery and press power button.
You could try a different RAM module, maybe at your local computer technician.
