ProBook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This laptop is new and since it was out of the box there are problems with sleep mode.  The computer does not honor any display off or sleep settings.  It turns off the display and goes to sleep randomly. Sometimes in a few minutes and sometimes hours later.  When restarting for any reason the computer goes straight to sleep mode.  To wake the computer requires many presses of the power button.  Sometimes the keyboard lights will come on but the display remains off. Nothing else works. but the power button to get the computer to com alive. Every power saving setting is disabled including advanced settings.  Windows 10 Pro is 100% updated and all the HP utilities are 100%updated.

Basically, follow the steps in the artcile including:

- configuration as per this HP article

- ensure BIOS/UEFI is up to date (you have manually installed latest version)

- ensure your drivers are latest as per HP Support Assistant

- check the Intel Management engine settings

- double check you have uninstalled all and any 3rd party security apps such as antivirus, encryption, firewalls

- ensure you have disabled Fast Start up in Windows

- scan for and remove potential viruses/malware

- check the workaround offered
