Hi @Amo1000,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I'd be happy to help you run the hardware diagnostics on your laptop.
If your laptop can turn on, please follow these steps:
- Turn off your laptop completely.
- Turn it on and immediately press the Esc key repeatedly until the startup menu appears.
- Press F2 to open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
- Select the available hardware test, such as system tests or component tests.
- Choose the test you want to run and follow the on-screen instructions.
- If a test fails, please note the 24-digit Failure ID and share it in your reply.
- If your laptop does not turn on or you cannot access the Startup Menu, please let us know.
Could you also clarify what you mean by "update"? Do you want to update the hardware diagnostics software, or do you want to run a diagnostic test to find out what is wrong with your laptop?
Best regards,
Kuroi_Kenshi
