HP Notebook - 15-ay041wm (Touch) (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have no clue. My PC wouldn't boot up properly, so eventually I went into the advanced options on the Microsoft screen to try and reset it. I tried both ways but that didn't work, so I tried to do the HP reset it lists. It stopped halfway through and now I'm stuck in the "HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI". I followed the instructions on how to recover my OS and the sort, running a check on my hardrive, but instead it failed and gave me the following Failure ID while testing drive 1.

Failure ID: PK7AKQ-8H9A5J-XD7X6K-60QU03

says SMART check: passed

But

Short DST: Failed

Any help would be appreciated, I've never had this happen before, so I'm so dazed and confused. Shutting it off and turning it back on hasn't done anything of use either.

@SalazarV

That code indicates your hard drive has failed -- which is why the reset did not work.

You have to replace the drive.

Once you have the replacement, follow the instructions below to restore your PC to working condition ...

If your PC is a 2016 model or newer, you should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.

The recovery drive can then be used to install Win10 and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.
