HP Pavilion - 14-ce3600na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

On my HP Pavilion - 14-ce3600na, the critical battery level is set to 9%, which is unable to be altered (when altered the critical level resets to 9%). I want to change the critical battery level to something within the ACPI standard (5%), which will preserve the battery and provide more battery life on each charge. I would like to know if this is a hardware based limit or a software based limit. If software based, would I be able to change the limit without installing a fresh install of Windows that comes without HP software?

@NXBeast

You can reduce to lower or higher 5% as shown from Power options/Advanced

Remember to click Apply/OK to keep the change(s)

This is what I have previously tried, now retrying changing it 1% at a time, the lowest it allows me to go to is 7%. It allows me to go lower, but when I click apply it goes back up to 7%

I can change on all my machines, no problem. Please try the following hard way
