I have a Pavilion dv6. I got it about a week ago. The camera worked ok at first. I didnt even touch it, and now its not working at all. A window pops up when I open youcam. it says
"No webcam deteted. Try plugging in a webcam into your computer now. If you are using an intergrated camera, make sure it is turned on."
How on earth do you turn it on? I have done so much research and nothing seems to work! HELP!

My problem is a little bit different. I have an HP pavilion g6. My HP webcam is working just fine according to Device Manager. The problem is that the Cyberlink YouCam application won't even open when I click on it.

@vadersith514, try uninstalling the YouCam software from the control panel and then reinstalling it back.
Once you uninstall the software follow this link and install the new version.
Let me know once you reinstall the software and the outcome of it.
If you have any more questions.
THX

OK, go ahead and recovery the program. Open up the recovery manager and chose the program YouCam to recover.
Please follow this document which will guide you through a couple of steps on how to use the recovery manager.
The document should something like this:
You will to follow the two sections I circled.
The first section "Video does not appear in your webcam software (such as YouCam, Skype, Messenger, etc.)" will guide you through a couple of trouble shooting steps to get the webcam to work within these programs.
If the first step doesn't resolve the issue please go to step #2 "Reinstalling the original webcam program that came with your computer”. This section will guide you through recovering the webcam software and drivers. This is the most important steps in the document if nothing before this resolves the issue.
It should look something like this:
Once you have finished both steps please let me know the outcome. If you have any more questions please ask.
