Hi am after the drivers for HP Pavilion DV9702EU (DV9700) for Windows 7 64 bit. The main driver i am after is for Nvidia Graphics, it should Geforce 8400M GS. I have tried a few drivers already and once rebooted it just displays lines across screen.
Solved! Go to Solution.

You need to manually install the Vista driver that was made for your notebook's model series.
Download and run the driver. You will most likely get an unsupported operating system error.
Close out of any error windows.
Go to the device manager. Click to expand the display adapters device manager category.
Click on the standard vga adapter listed there.
Click on the driver tab. Click on update driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you rant the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp42635.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.
If any lines across the screen appear, then the nVidia GPU has become overheated over time and is damaged.
That was a common issue with that model series.
