Dell OS Recovery Tool or Microsoft Media Creation Tool?

I need to install Win10 on a new SSD, there are significant differences between the 2 tools? Because Dell's tool isn't working (as always), but if besides windows it installs all dell drivers and app then I'll go with that (hoping that will go online shortly). What do you suggest? Ty

I can share my personal experience with the Dell Recovery tool and my Dell Optiplex 7050 MT business desktop PC...

I used it, and the only Dell software it installed was the Dell support assistant, and the drivers for the hardware.

I was disappointed that it did not install any DVD playing software (even though the PC has a DVD-RW drive),so I had to install an ancient Dell Power DVD 8 edition from a CD I had lying around.

So, for me there was hardly any difference in the Dell tool, and the Media creation tool.

The Microsoft Media creation tool would give you the latest version of W10 as well.

The Dell tool gave me the version of W10 that was out when the Optiplex 7050 was in production.

If you have a Dell consumer class notebook, the Dell tool may work differently, and install all of the drivers and software that originally came with your notebook, like the HP cloud recovery tool does.

I would probably try that first.  You can always clean install W10 with the media creation tool at any time.
