I've disabled secure boot in my work note , entered the 4 digit pin showed in screen.
everything apparently was fine, until I tried booting windows again, now it was asking for the bitlocker recovery key, problem is the key saved in microsoft account was not working. enabled secured boot, but no use.
I've noticed the recovery key ID changed, the drive ID does not match the MS account ID anymore.
could simply changing this bios setting do this?

I recommend you contact Microsoft about problem with bitlocker.
You may have to do a restore using HP's cloud recovery and then obtain missing documents from OneDrive or any backup.
