The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05997528
It has only has AMD A6-9225 Dual-Core processor, 4 GB DDR4-1866 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB) and slow 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA HDD. Unfortunately not much you can do because it is at bottom end of the series. With a little RAM and slows HDD it pages/swaps data from RAM to HDD and keeps HDD spinning to death. Two things you can do:
(a) Upgrade RAM: It has 4GB of RAM now with a single slot you can replace it with 8GB (max)
(b) Replace its 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA with 1TB 2.5" SSD.
The machine would be better but it is still a slow machine.
Regards.
