I have four of the HP Probook 655 G2 Refurbished Notebooks and I work as a Volunteer for a Not-For-Profit that wants them all to have Windows 7 Pro on them. I have the Windows 7 Pro Installer Disk and that goes OK, but I am missing eleven drivers ..
The Driver page from HP for this computer with Windows 7 Pro has about a hundred drivers listed on it, and I am unable to determine the correct drivers ...
After the initial install, there is no Ethernet driver and no USB driver, although the CD/DVD driver is installed and that does work .. I can install an Ethernet driver from the CD and the USB drive as well, I think .. But several of the missing drivers are listed as "Unknown Device" , and two as simply "PCI Device" .
Any suggestions ... I feel as though I am stuck, and have four brand new computers to fix ...

Hi:
Here are the drivers you need...
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_095A:
This package contains drivers for the Intel Wireless LAN adapter in supported models running a supported operating system.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp78001-78500/sp78136.exe
You will also need the Intel bluetooth driver for that model wlan card...
This package contains the driver installation package for the Intel Bluetooth in the supported notebook models running a supported operating systems.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp77001-77500/sp77324.exe
PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1577: I know what it is, but I can't find the driver. It is not on the support page.
It is the AMD IOMMU Device.
When I find it, I will post it.
ACPI\AMD0030
This package contains the driver that enables the AMD IO Driver to be used with supported notebook models that are running a supported operation system. AMD IO Driver provides drivers for these IO modules to control the serial interfaces and sensors that are connected in the AMD IO buses.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp78501-79000/sp78640.exe
ACPI\HPQ6007
Receives notifications from the integrated accelerometer and automatically parks the hard drive to reduce the risk of damage if the PC is accidentally dropped.

Hi:
Use this guide to find the hardware ID for each device.
https://www.howtogeek.com/193798/how-to-find-drivers-for-unknown-devices-in-the-device-manager/
Then google the hardware ID and you should be able to figure out what driver you need on the 655 G2 support page.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-probook-655-g2-notebook-pc/8430757
There are too many devices that can be named Unknown for me to tell what drivers you need for those.
The device simply labeled 'PCI Device' needs the Realtek card reader driver found under the Storage drivers section.
The ethernet device needs the Realtek LAN driver.
The USB controller device needs the AMD USB3 driver found under the Chipset driver section.
If you get stuck finding any drivers, please post the hardware ID's for the drivers you need and I will be happy to post the links to the correct drivers.

Paul ... I appreciate very much your help. I dunno why this whole "Drivers" issue befuddles me, but it does.
I still need the following drivers for the shown Hardware ID's:

OK, I found that elusive AMD IOMMU Device driver.
It is buried in the graphics driver file and apparently does not auto install.
So, you are going to have to try manually installing the driver as follows...
I pulled the AMD IOMMU Device driver out of the graphics driver file package, zipped it up and attached it below.
Download and unzip the file to its folder. Do not do anything with the files in the folder.
Go to the device manager and click on the unknown 1577 device needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.

Thanks Paul ...
I've now got them all, I think, except for the one that you mention ... Dunno how I would have done this without help. I really appreciate you beng there.
This will go towards helping a whole bunch of kids who desperately need help. FYI, for this Not-For-Profit I usually do a clean install of Windows 7 Pro after wiping the Windows 10 Hardrive clean. This problem always appears, but this one was worse because it required eleven drivers, and that probably was because the computers that we are now getting from HP (refurbhised) are newer and have more "stuff". Ha ! And I'm getting older ...
Thanks again ...

Anytime, Jack.
Glad to have been of assistance.
Yes, it is getting harder to install W7 on new PC's, just like it was hard getting XP installed on PC's made after 2011.
That is a great cause you are working for, and I'm sure the kids will really enjoy those notebooks.
They are newer than anything I have. LOL!

Thanks Paul ! That did it !! Now three more computers to go !! Ha !
Believe me ... If I were not 78 years old and retired, and have time there is no way that I would do this .. Its brutal ! Ha ! In the future, I think I am going to ask the Director of our Not-for-Profit to ask HP when she orders the laptops if they can't include an installer package for Windows 7 Pro which HP already has in its files ... I'm not sure, but I'd bet a buck they have it there already.
Anyway, Thanks again !!
