HP Envy m7 k111dx
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello world :Crying:

I have installed Windows 7 on a HP Envy m7 k111dx after much reading and messing around. I did read before I started that this was not supported by HP but saw posts of other Envy laptops where people put 7 on. I need it for software that won't run on 10. Anyway...

Can anyone help me with a Network or USB driver(s)? I have tried all the Win8 ones from the website with no luck so far. I was not able to install windows with the original partitions, so I deleted them. I'm sure there was a better way to go about this but I gave up after reading a ton of random posts that were similar to my situation, never finding exactly what I was looking for. I made the HP recovery USB but don't know if that's of any use after deleting all the partitions.

Thank you SO much for any help or direction!!! :generic:

This should be the wi-fi driver...appears you have the Intel AC 7260 + bluetooth wireless:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26784/Wireless-Intel-PROSet-Wireless-Software-and-Drivers-...

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26666/Wireless-Intel-Wireless-Bluetooth-for-Windows-7-?pro...

USB 3.0 driver:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/22824/Intel-USB-3-0-eXtensible-Host-Controller-Driver-for-...

If these do not work post back. The recovery disk you made would reinstall Windows 8.1 which was the factory OS and it will replace the original partitions while wiping all your existing data away.
