Compaq Presario CQ57-430SL
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I have a problem.

I installed 2 years ago Windows 10 on my Compaq Presario CQ57-430SL even if the upgrade icon didn't showed. The laptop and the OS are working well and now Microsoft released this new update, the creators update, saying that it could cause some issues if manually installed. Having installed Windows 10 manually, probably my drivers haven't been tested on this Windows version, so I may never receive automatically this upgrade. My question is: is there any way to check the drivers compatibility?

Thank You

Hi @leonardoCQ

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query in this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know whether you will have any driver compatibility issue if you install the Windows 10 creator update.

Don’t worry, we will work together to resolve this issue and It’s a pleasure to assist you in this regard.

I would like to inform you that the Windows 10 automatically installs the generic drivers for all the hardware components of your computer. As you are already using Windows 10 on your computer, I am positive that you should not have any issues with the drivers.

Also, the Windows 10 creator update is an incremental update so you will get the update in the near future or else you can manually download and install it form Microsoft website.

Hope that answers your question and you have a great day.
