Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)
I m using Compaq 610, laptop. I got an OEM disk with it. OEM disk was working properly. But after replacing my hard disk with a new hard disk, I am unable to install win7 by using my OEM disk. It asks for drivers during installation. My new hard disk model number is Toshiba MQ01ABD050. How to fix this issue?

Hi:

See if this works...

I have zipped up and attached the W7 32 bit storage controller drivers below.

Download and unzip the files to their folder.

Get a USB flash drive and copy the files in the folder to the flash drive.

With the flash drive and W7 installation media in the PC, boot from the W7 installation media.

After you select the install now option, select the Drive Options - Advanced menu, then select the Load Driver option.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it will only include the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and hopefully, W7 will install.

Thanks for attending me and providing me a relevant link for my problem.
Actually, I am getting the same error message as you have written in your post and I am guessing, I got the actual reason behind this error message. I replaced my DVD drive before few months and I am using DVD writer of Irvine. I don't have proper driver for this product that's why DVD drive is not working properly. Can I get the driver anywhere for this product.

Hi:

Unfortunately, I don't know where you can find a driver for that device.

However, perhaps you should follow the guidance of that link and convert your DVD installation disk's files into a bootable USB flash drive.

I think this tool (WintoFlash) can do that for you.

Hi,
I am unable to make an image of my OEM disc, I don't know why but whenever I try, it shows an error . But I have the product key at the back of my laptop. Can I download the OEM win7 home premium anywhere.

Hi:

This site claims to have genuine unadulterated W7 ISO files.

Click on the Windows ISO Downloader.exe file found on the above webpage.
