After finding a similar thread online, I reset my BIOS settings to default, and my hs2340 works fine with a fresh install of Windows 10 ver 1607.

 

I hope this helps someone else having trouble like myself.

Here's the thread I followed that helped me get my hs2340 working under a clean install of Windows 10 Anniversary Edition.
