Hi,
As you have a back-up of all your personal files etc, I would try wiping ( not just formatting ) the entire Hard Drive first and then try reinstalling the Operating System using your Recovery DVDs as this may get past the problem of the 8th disc failing - do not format the HDD after wiping, let yourRecovery Discs perform this.
Unless you already have a utility for doing this, download and install Killdisk on the link below - ( this application will write zeros to the entire drive ).
http://software.lsoft.net/KillDiskSuiteFree-Setup.exe
Download and install ImgBurn on the link below.
http://download.cnet.com/ImgBurn/3000-2646_4-10847481.html
Go to the Kill Disk application you have installed in All Programs, open the main folder, then select Bootable Disk creators and from that select Bootable DOS CD Creator which will burn the bootable ISO to a blank CD.
During the next process do not worry about any warnings as your Recovery DVDs will reformat the HDD.
Insert this CD in to your notebook and restart to boot from the Killdisk CD and follow the on screen instructions for Kill Disk.
A brief description of the process is here Killdisk.
Use this to wipe the whole of the Hard Drive, highlight (80h) and press f10 ( you will also have to type a confirmation and hit enter ) - ( this will make sure you include all partitions and then start the process - this may take a couple of hours! ).
When the process is complete, remove the Killdisk CD and try using your Recovery DVDs to perform the installation again - if this is successful, you should find you now have a working Recovery Partition back.

Wiping and format, what is the different between them? "highlight (80h) and press f10" I don't understand this, can you explain more detail?
I don't understand how to use that program, can you help me? And I still not clear, what is the reason for my Recovery DVDs error?

Hi,
An easy way of defining the difference between formatting and wiping is that a quick format ( which is what your Recovery discs perform prior to starting the installation ) just marks the areas of your Hard Drive which contain data as 'free space' - the information still physically exists but is not visable to the operating system and can be over-written - the MBR, file headers are set to be over-written but the information is actually still there. Wiping the Hard Drive erases everything and leaves the Hard Drive in much the same state as a brand new drive.
When running KillDisk, you need to use the arrow keys to highlight (80h) as this option erases the entire Hard Drive, not just a particular partition. The links I provided before give a further explanation, but the only important point is to make sure you wipe the entire drive.
I don't know exactly why your Recovery Discs throw out this error, but I have known this to be resolved by completely re-creating the MBR.

Yes, everything back to normal just like before I recover, except that F11 working correcly:). But the HP_TOOLS partition was created again, this partition for what? I would like to use HP quick web and Quick lauch but don't know how, does my notebook support it?

Hi,
HP_TOOLS enables an extended set of diagnostic options which can be accessed by tapping away at f2 as you start the notebook - the partition also contains the UEFI which allows the bios to be flashed outside of the Windows environment ( ie the flash occurs when the machine is restarted ) which is generally a safer way of doing this - I would still strongly suggest that you only update the bios if there is a particular issue you have that the update will correct.
One way to check if your notebook supports Quickweb is to check in the System Configuration tab of your Bios Menu to see if you have the option to enable 'Instant-On' - if you do not see this option, then your machine does not support Quickweb - see the link below for further details regarding this.

Oh, I see. I push F2 and my notebook go to the HP Tools to check my system. I has updated Bios from F.0C to F.0F. I don't see "Instant On" under Bios tab, so that mean my notebook does not support HP Quickweb?:(

Hi,
Yes, if Instant-On is not listed as an option in the bios, your notebook does not support QuickWeb.
