How do I get "installation media" onto a flash drive?

Hi! @Chr151,

 

Did you install a retail copy of the operating system or replaced the hard drive on the PC?

 

It sounds like the few of the core operating system files on the PC has got deleted, due to which you are receiving this error.

 

The only way to get the recovery partition is by using the recovery kit.

Also, try running a hard drive test from the system diagnostics page and check if the hardware components are functioning correctly.
