I have recently obtained the HP system recovery DVD from HP as my hard drive had failed and i did not have a recovery DVD.
I have replaced the faulty hard drive with a new SSD (WD 480GB not formatted), i have also added an extra 4GB of RAM (Kingston 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 SODIMM) when i purchased the notebook originally in 2013.
The problem i have is the error message i receive when i boot from the system recovery DVD, i have unplugged all usb devices and removed the 4GB of Kingston RAM, so the only thing that is not original in the notebook is the new SSD.
The error message is
Error
This computer is not supported by the System Recovery Media.
You will not be able to continue to recover this system with these Media.
Error:
0130-ABG-UUF
Is this because of the new hard drive i have installed? as it is not the original?
Is there any way around this, without having to purchase another original hard drive?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello, do you know what is your original hard disk's capacity?? In effet, I am sorry but you can't use your HP Recovery Media with a drive's capacity lower your original hard drive.
If your original hard drive has not a higher capacity, you can try remove your memory expansion, and retry. If your recovery kit doesn't work, maybe it is defect, and you can to contact your reseller for this kit.
If you can't to use an HP Recovery Media, you can download a Microsoft ISO from your Windows version, and install it on your SSD. If it is Windows 7, you just need your original keygen, on the back on your PC normally.
And after Windows Installation you can install HP Support Assistant and HP drivers.

OK, that makes sense, the original HDD is 500GB and the new SSD is 480GB.
I tried to download the windows iso for windows 7, but microsoft said something like this OS needs to be provided to you from the product supplier.

Th Hiedoc link, which you provided, is largely unavailable for English version ISOs --as least, has been that case every time I have tried it in the last several months. In fact, I just tried it again, and now it says to try again next month. It's for these reasons that I no longer recommend using the Heidoc site.

Possible, @WAWood this is just an example, I don't have time to read and give all the approved research answers!
That said, we often find multilingual versions, the choice of language is given at installation
personally I don't have what to test, but I had already done the test a few years ago with another version found on the net!
Edit
I can only download, but not test if it's ok, for the version
not ok ?
i have english here
