HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop - 16-a0021nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hi when I turn on the PC I get the screen with error 90b where the fan does not work well. Although the message advises not to turn on the PC, I turned it on and I had no problems because the fans seemed to be working fine but sometimes BOTH STARTED (IS 2) AND AFTER A FEW SECONDS THEY STOPPED AND STARTED AND STOPPED AGAIN AND THEN THEY WORKED NORMALLY. I tried to do the fan test from the HP DIAGNOSTIC UEFI and it says the first fan is working, but the second (it says it's the gpu one) doesn't work. During testing and even in games I turned the laptop and saw that all the fans were working. what do you recommend? Could I have caught a virus? with a certain type of reset could it be solved? Thanks in advance.

Hello @ProGamer220107 .
The power drain is suitable for a hardware restart or hard reset to be performed, and this does not erase personal information.
Many boot errors and other problems can be solved by reducing the stored energy of hardware components. This procedure of reducing stored energy is also known as a hard reset.
o Turn off the computer.
o Disconnect the computer from any port replicators or docking stations.
o Disconnect all peripheral devices, such as USB storage devices, external displays, or printers.
o Disconnect the AC adapter from the computer.
o Turn the computer over and look for the battery compartment door to determine whether or not your computer's battery is removable.
o Now to consume any residual electrical charge from the capacitors protecting the memory, perform the following as it is the basics of this:
If you see an access door to the battery compartment, your equipment has a removable battery. Remove the battery, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds, reinsert the battery back into the compartment and proceed to the next step.
If you do not see any access door to the battery compartment, your computer does not have a removable battery. On most laptops with a non-removable battery, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to complete the restart and proceed to the next step. More information: https://support.hp.com/mx-es/document/c01811996
1. Reconnect the AC adapter to the computer, but do not connect any peripheral devices.
2. Turn on the computer.
If a startup menu opens, use the arrow keys to select Start Windows normally and then press enter.
3. Once the peripheral devices are connected, run Windows Update and HP Support Assistant to update all drivers and the system.

Thanks for the reply.

I had already tried to do this .... my PC does not have the removable battery and when I press the start button, it lights up 2-3 times in the 15 second interval and then, after connecting the power to having it turned on, nothing changes.

@ProGamer220107 .

Is the inside of the equipment clean?
Have you opened the equipment to change the thermal paste?
Does it still have warranty?

I apologize for disturbing you buy if I do a complete reset from the Windows settings (the one that does not keep any data), it is the same as doing the procedure described here?

@ProGamer220107 .

It is not the same, because according to what you mention, that process that you did was on Windows at software level, and the process that I have given you is at hardware level.
