The factory reset on my laptop finally completed after 3 hours.  It stayed stuck on 62% for most of that time.  The original problem that I had was Microsoft Edge just disappeared.  This caused the Start "Windows" key to not work.  After the factory reset I had to re-load all my software. :mansad:  It took me all day.  My advice to people using Windows 10.  Don't try to delete anything that you think will free up space on your computer.  Windows 10 wants all the stupid extra programs to stay so they can irritate you.

Hi,

My experience with factory reset is 6 hours first time (Using Windows Recovery feature) and 8 hours second time (Using HP Recopvery Manager).  Both times in my case I didn't use the recovery DVD just recovery partition. 🙂

It seems that there are a lot of work with HP software that is bundled to OS so depending of HDD/CPU/Memory it may take a long time.

Best Regards,

Alexey.
