Factory Reset on HP Pavilion laptop fails with error message 0xc0000001

HP Recommended
Pavilion 97-2274us
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My W10 computer was working fine and I did a backup using Microsoft Windows 7 backup. I then tried to restore the HP laptop using that backup but it failed now I get the failure 0xc0000001 missing driver.

I then tries to do a Factory Reset and got the same error message   0xc0000001

@Forrest5

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install the Windows operating system.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
