I purchased an HP Notebook 15 and it is password protected. I tried using the F9 and F11 keys to start the boot menu and was able to set an Admin password. Afterwards I tried to use the Admin password. It worked for when the laptop was started, but I still couldn't get past the Windows startup password previously set.
The laptop was turned off for a few days. Today, I tried again to enter the boot menu and now it's saying my Admin password is wrong too. After 3 unsuccessful attempts I am getting a System Disabled error [I 65603081].
Is there any way to get back to the boot menu or factory reset it now? Or do I have to purchase a boot recovery disk?
