Trying to do a factory reset so I can return this pos computer but it's been stuck at 12% for 5 hours now . Not sure what to do at this point...will it finish...is it stuck.... Can I power down and restart.... if I unplug and let battery died and ship back will my info still be on the computer?

Hi,

It sounds like the hard drive is gone. Do you have the recovery disks or is the factory reset being done from the hard drive? Once the hard drive is damaged there is no need for a factory reset. If the system is still under the warranty then return it where it was purchased from. At this point the hard drive is wiped out.

Well just bought the computer less than a month ago . It went for over 16 hours stuck at 12% so I just powered it off and sent it back with a note taped to it stating they need to reset it etc.  Thank you for the reply.
