So, I seem to have had a windows update and a scan and repair check disk (?) scheduled at the same time and somehow now I dont have hdd in my boot menu nor do I have access to rolling back or restoring my device. Unsure if that was the cause but it was during that reboot that it stopped working. The hardware diagnostic came back fine but my software appears to be totalled, I'm missing partitions or something. If possible I would like to see if I could get some restore software for it that i can use via usb or a way to get the restore media discs as I cannot find my original ones.
I am not sure what information to provide so I'll provide my serial number and product number in the event that they are needed:
Product number G6R14UAR#ABA
Serial number [edit]
Thanks

1-You said hardware diagnostics came back fine. Does that mean you tested the hard drive and passed diagnostics test? You also mentioned not having a hard drive in boot menu-that could indicate it has failed and will have to be replaced.
2-You can order Recovery Media from your Support page- last item in the list of Windows 8.1 drivers/software:
3-If you took the free upgrade to Windows 10 you were assigned a digital key which allows you to reinstall Windows 10 without going back to Windows 8.1 first.
Microsoft provides the free Media Creation Tool to download files and create a bootable Windows 10 usb flash drive.Advantage is you will have latest updated version of Windows 10. At least 8gb flash drive required:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Select Download tool now, and select Run.
If you agree to the license terms, select Accept.
On the What do you want to do? page, select Create installation media for another PC, and then select Next.
Select the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) for Windows 10.
The Guide here shows the steps.Pay attention to Step 5 since you will be using another pc:
https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2376-create-bootable-usb-flash-drive-install-windows-10-a.html
-------------------------------
When the flash drive is prepared insert it in a usb port. Power on the laptop and immediately start tapping Esc key. From the menu tap F9 key and use the arrow keys to move to and select usb. Tap Enter key.
When installing and you go through first few screens- choose Custom and select each partition and delete each (if you have more than one).Install on the unallocated space left from that process.Continue with installation. When it asks for license key just choose "I don't have a key". It will continue and should activate once you are online.

I used the scanning tools to check the hardware but it came back all green, im going to try to do a fresh install of my os it's about all I can do at this point without taking it in (to my knowledge) and I want to spend as little as possible at present.

I would make the Windows 10 bootable USB using Media Creation Tool at Microsoft and try it.

If the OS is set to Windows 10 you won't see it. Click Change and select Windows 8.1 and you will get the full list. Recovery Media is the last item.

Ah, that was the problem, thank you! I don't have a Usb with a large enough capacity for this currently, so i will give that a shot tomorrow if I can get my hands on one. Thank you for your quick assistance, I'll leave this open for a little longer until I know the results of my attempts.

I got a larger enough Usb drive today and while I was creating a bootable drive out of it on my desktop I turned on my computer again for the ~60th time and it booted up fine and is now working for no reason at all. While I am elated by this new development it leaves me with a lot of questions so I'm going to take some time to make a backup and just keep an eye on it. Thank you for your support on this nonetheless, it was nice to have the quick responses when I was stressing out.

You're very welcome. Those Windows Updates can be very stressful when they break the OS. Happy that you were finally able to boot. Keep that flash drive handy in case it is needed in the future.
