hp notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have just tried to update the bios on an hp notebook (15-ac120na), with the updater pulled from the hp support web site. The updater tries to run, but fails. the notebook now does not boot, but goes into Win 10 recovery mode. I think this is a EFI boot issue. The system appears to try to run a cmd window (presumably part of bios update process) but fails. iIs there any way to revert the boot to the original system boot options, to stop the BIOS update attempt, and boot into windows 10 as normal.

The BIOS is still INTACT, and I can get into the Boot Options menu (F9) etc. I just need to find where the BIOS update process slips itself into the boot order and remove it as if the BIOS update completed and reverted the boot back to the normal windows 10 boot process.

Many thanks.
