HP Notebook 15-da0061 nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've just tried to reinstall Windows using the recovery USB drive ordered from HP.

Every thing goes as planned until it's time to reboot windows after removing the drive.

Window reboots a few times but ultimately gets a failure message.

Failure when attempting to copy boot files

Hi:

See if using the HP cloud recovery tool to make a bootable USB recovery drive works.

Here is an info link for how to use that utility.

You will need to have access to another working Windows PC, and a 32 GB USB flash drive.

If that doesn't work either, use the Media creation tool to clean install W10 by making a bootable USB installation flash drive.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

You will need an 8 GB flash drive for this.

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
