Product: HP ProBook 640 G2 Base Model Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi HP Community, 

I FORGET MY BIOS Administrator password for my HP ProBook Because of this, I can’t access BIOS settings or make any  changes. I’ve tried a few common passwords, but none work. 

Is there any official way to reset or recover the BIOS password ?

Welcome to the HP Poly community.

 

According to the Community's Rules of Participation:

 

4d. No posts shall include instructions/directions intended to bypass or subvert security mechanisms such as lock screens, BitLockers, BIOS lock, passwords, fingerprint/biometry scanners, PINs or any other safety measures.

 

Therefore, this topic is being locked. If you would like help resetting the password on your product, please Contact HP support in your region.

 

For cases related to BitLocker issues, please contact Microsoft Support.

 

The only way to recover your PC's BitLocker key is if you printed it out or exported it to your Microsoft account when you first set up your PC.

 

Find your BitLocker recovery key - Microsoft Support

 

Without the key, you will have to clean install Windows on the encrypted drive so you can use your PC again.
