I daily use my HP ENVY 15 epoxxx. But recently I have been getting frequent BSOD . The error code is "VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL" . I have the varient with 32gb ddr5 ram , RTX 2060 studio and 512 gb nvme SSD w Intel i7 10th gen . I have tried everything, updating graphics , changing my power plan but nothing has worked . Also all my screws have disappeared. Can they be the issue ?? If so where I can find them??? (*My os is windows 11)

Hi @ReyRed21,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We know how upsetting it feels when a notebook you rely on every single day suddenly hits you with a harsh blue screen, especially the kind that flashes abruptly, interrupts your work, and leaves that sinking feeling in your chest. The "VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL" BSOD is one of those errors that can feel alarming, but we’re going to walk through this together, gently and step‑by‑step.

Your HP ENVY 15 ep0xxx is a powerful machine, and we want it to feel stable, smooth, and dependable again. Also, the screws disappearing are not causing the BSOD.

Now, let’s fix the VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL BSOD

1. Perform a Clean NVIDIA Driver Reset (CRITICAL)

Even if you updated drivers already, a clean reinstall is very different:

Steps:

  1. Go to Control Panel → Programs → Uninstall a program
  2. Remove:
    • NVIDIA Graphics Driver
    • NVIDIA PhysX
    • NVIDIA HD Audio
  3. Restart
  4. Download the Studio Driver from NVIDIA: Download The Official NVIDIA Drivers | NVIDIA
  5. Choose Custom Install → Perform a clean installation

This wipes corrupt VRAM instructions that cause BSODs.

2. Update the Intel iGPU Driver

The ENVY 15 uses both Intel + NVIDIA graphics.
A mismatch between them often causes this BSOD.

Official Intel driver page: Download Intel Drivers and Software

Download:

  • Intel UHD Graphics driver for 10th Gen Core

3. Update the BIOS (important for this error)

Your ENVY 15 2020–2021 BIOS updates specifically contain:

  • thermal curve fixes
  • NVIDIA memory allocation fixes
  • Windows 11 optimization

BIOS updates for your device are found here: 👉 HP ENVY Laptop 15-ep0xxx (33H95U8) | HP® Support

Enter your full model and download the latest BIOS.

A BIOS update fixes this BSOD for many ENVY 15 users.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
