Elitebook 8460p
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Thank you in advance.  I have a HP Elitebook 8460p that I wanted to upgrade the hard drive and do a fresh install of Windows 10.  I cannot make a recovery disk because I loaned the computer to my grandson and its been so long that neither one of us remembers what the login is to get into Windows.  I think I have searched the right place but cannot find the drivers for the Elitebook 8460p.  Would you please direct me in the right direction if they are still available.

Hi:

That model is not supported by HP for W10.

W10 should have installed most of the drivers already.

If there are any devices that need drivers, you can use the W8.1 drivers for most of them.

Thank you for your prompt reply.  So...... I fresh load Win 10 and use the drivers for Win 8 - I want to make sure I understand fully. Thanks again.

You're very welcome.

That is correct.

If you need help finding any drivers, please let me know, and I will be happy to help you out.

One of the devices I know you will need the driver for is the card reader, which will show up in the device manager as a Base System Device.

The JMicron Media Card Reader Driver enables the integrated media card slot in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
