Hello @alexeliaski

Welcome !

You report several different problems.

- Could you elaborate on what you mean by writing "the graphics are not correct" ?

- Can you use your camera or smartphone, take a picture and post it back here in your next reply ?

- Which keys are not responding ?

- With regards to the slow start up - your PC comes with a hard disk drive to be used as a storage drive. You may also consider installing an SSD (solid state drive) instead of an HDD - this is strongly recommended as SSDs are way faster, more repliable and lighter. More information about SSDs:

Check the service manual for steps >> http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03011618

- Restart the PC. Open the Esc boot menu (HP Startup menu), load F2 diagnostics and perform full test on the HDD and RAM.

- Restart the PC. Open the Esc boot menu (HP Startup menu), load F10 BIOS menu and go to "Advanced" tab

Go to Built-in Device options and ensure the Wireless Network Device (WLAN) is available in the list and checked.

Save the changes and restart. Let me know if it is there, take a picture.

Hello @alexeliaski

  • With regards to the wireless option, if it is enabled and present in the BIOS as suggested before, make sure that you press the dedicated wireless button to enable the wi-fi adapter. Currently it is in orange which means inactive. It needs to be in white to be active.

I refer to this button:

Also, you need to have the wireless (wi-fi) drivers installed, taken from HP website-servers >here<

  • In regards to the keyboard keys not working, try opening Windows Start button, type and open Notepad

Test them there.

If they still do not work, you will need to bring the machine to a service center you trust to have the keyboard repaired. Note that this is an old machine and I cannot guarantee parts will be available.

  • With regards to the slowness, I don't know what is the amount of RAM you have (you can check it in Start -> Control Panel -> System) but you need at least 4 GB (at the very bare minimum) for a good work. Also, consider replacing the old hard disk drive with a new SSD and the PC will work faster. Do not use Windows 7 as it is obsolete nowadays and not supported anymore - use Windows 8.1 or Windows 10

Hope this helps.
