I plan to do a reset of my HP15.  However I added more ram than the original amount.

Will the reset allow for this or will there be a problem?

The reset has nothing to do with the RAM, so changing it will have no effect.

 

But WHY are you doing this?  This erases everything on the drive and if the laptop is performing poorly, will almost certainly FAIL, leaving you with a trashed laptop.

This laptop runs fine with the new ram.  I bought a new one and i am giving this one to my daughter.

So I want to clean off everything, files and several software programs.  One possible drawback is all

Windows update will have to be done again.
