Check if you able to boot into safe mode. Check if you can boot into safe mode. Enter Safe Mode through recovery:
- Turn on the laptop:
- When the HP logo or Windows loading screen appears, hold the power button for about 10 seconds to shut it off.
Repeat this forced shutdown two or three times. - Windows should show Automatic Repair.
- Select Advanced options > Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
- Press 4 or F4 for Safe Mode of Press 5 or F5 for Safe Mode with Networking.
Let me know if you able to get there and laptop shows normal desktop. No black screen

That's good. First I suggest you to boot into safe mode again, then backup your important files, documents, etc in external USB, drive or phone. Just for worst case. Also, disable startup apps from task manager while in safe mode as they may causing more load on drive.
Now, in safe mode try System Restore first.
- Boot into Safe Mode.
- Press Win + R, type rstrui.exe, and press Enter.
- Select Next.
- Choose a restore point dated before the unknown hard error and blank-screen problem began. Select Show more restore points if necessary.
- Click Scan for affected programs, then Next → Finish.
- Allow the laptop to restart and complete the restore.
System Restore normally affects Windows system files, drivers, settings, and recently installed programs, not personal documents. It will show affect apps while doing it like mentioned above.

So I have three ideas and hope they will work otherwise toy need to get professional help.
First try to system restore windows recovery environment.
If System Restore fails in Safe Mode, boot into the recovery environment using a forced restart:
- Power on the laptop, and as soon as Windows starts loading, hold the power button to force shut down.
Repeat this 2–3 times. On the next boot, Windows should show “Preparing Automatic Repair” or “Recovery” screen. - Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > System restore
- Select System Restore and choose a restore point dated before the problem started. (Choose another point than before if you have more than one)
- Let it complete and reboot normally.

I don’t know for sure, but a System Restore followed by a normal boot usually means Windows recovered enough to start, while the restore itself did not complete successfully. The first thing you should do now is back up your important data to an external drive or pen drive and create a bootable USB for future use.
There is still a chance that Windows is corrupted, and this issue could happen again. So, make a backup and keep one bootable USB ready for the worst case. After that, create a new system restore point so you can recover more easily if this happens again.
