Hard drive failure

17-by0071cl starts fast, new battery, windows 11. Just don’t close the lid with the power adapter unplugged!  It won’t power up again until ac is reconnected.  Then it will leave a 502 error before booting.  It passes all the hardware tests.  Somehow closing the lid clears the rest time clock.
