HP 17 Laptop PC 17-cp1000 (4V7P0AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have had this laptop computer for not even five months. I purchased an HP 17 Laptop 17.3"HD+ Touchscreen through Amazon. Within two months I was having issues booting it up, it wouldn't do anything. I called Amazon to send it back and they told me that since it is sold through Amazon by a third party (HP), it is non-returnable. I then called tech support, described my issues and they did try to walk me through recovery efforts. They took remote control of the laptop at several points. They were emphatical about my NOT returning the laptop to HP.  I do have to say, being that the tech support is outsourced to different countries, it was very difficult communicating with the support persons. Soon after my calls to HP, I went to Staples to their diagnosticians. I am forwarding a copy of their report and receipt. Now, once again, I cannot boot up. The only way I can turn it on now is through "BIOS Recovery". It doesn't always "take" the first time. Today I tried repeatedly to turn it on. I have had this laptop for only five months. It is a lemon! I am reporting this to Amazon, the BBB, and Consumer Protection in my state. I should have at least been able to return this laptop for refund. I want to send this computer back to you, HP, for refund, or send me a new computer. This whole situation is unacceptable! I should not be stuck with this machine solely because I purchased it through Amazon, and not through HP directly! Please rectify this ASAP! Thank You!
